Welcome to Madeleine Jazz Bar.
There are many ways to explain Madelene – and that ́s the way we love it! A Jazz Club full of charm. A special bar, among the bohemian nights at Vila Madalena. High standards of a creative cooking. A prize-winning place, ready to receive different events. Madeleine is all that – but also is something completely diferent, that only your experience will define.
Founded on July 2009, we focus on 3 equally important subjects: MUSIC, GASTRONOMY and AMBIENCE.
MUSICALLY speaking, live Jazz is our soundtrack, where the only rules are freedom and experimentation – brazilian jazz, traditional jazz, fusion, bebop, acid jazz, blues, cool jazz, soul and much more. Framed by our already famous red velvet curtains, our stage receives, under the cares of our partner André Guilger, several talented artists under many formations, traveling from jazz standards to author songs. It ́s ALL THAT JAZZ – and a little more.
As well as the music, GOOD FOOD in Madeleine has also the standards to surprise you. Our creative menu has Proust-worthy experiences. From our 2 ovens comes the amazing creations of chef Ana Soares, as our signature ‘pizza-bistrô’. Other than that, amazing dishes come from our kitchen, such as Fish D ́Godoy, a tribute to one of our greatest friends and musicians, sax-player Tico d ́Godoy. To go with those delights, the best options are on our wine list, chosen under serious standards by our partner and sommelier Gil Dantas. Our winehouse underneath the stage area helps to keep those wines, which, along our exclusive Madeleine Brut, created by Pizzato winemakers, satisfy several different tastes.
As about AMBIENCE, there is no denial: our intimist environment and our candle lights creates the perfect mood for couples.
That perfect mix attracts more and more audience, and Madeleine is such a public as well as a critic success, being awarded several times among specialized media – such as twice Best Live Music in São Paulo by Vejinha, Best Jazz Bar by Época, Best Bar for Couples by Época and Folha de São Paulo, among others.
MADELEINE. Hard to describe, easy to fall in love with.
